Lüscher’s use of both sulphur and ashes between 1985 and 1999 shows just how consistently she works on her art and develops her ideas. Although there may be hints of conceptualism here, the rigor of her approach seems rather to arise from a deep-seated sense of logic, which sees her only ever taking one step after the other.
